First Milanese period 1481/2 - 1499

Leonardo drafts a detailed petition about the making of the bronze doors to the administrators of Piacenza Cathedral.

Leonardo probably begins to paint the Portrait of Lady (La Belle Ferronière). The lady has been reasonably identified as Lucrezia Crivelli, who was mistress of Ludovico Sforza during the later 1490s.
